About Us
We are the South Carolina chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) located in the Midlands and Pee Dee areas of South Carolina. Our Chapter was founded in 1955, and we currently have 127 members. This year our meetings will primarily be during lunch on the first Monday of the month at The Training Center of C. R. Jackson, Inc., 100 Independence Blvd., Columbia, SC. This year we will be covering a great variety of safety topics (see the Calendar). The meetings are a great opportunity for networking and to stay up to date on current safety topics!

The South Carolina Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers extends our thoughts and prayers to the loved ones of the 9 brave Firemen from Charleston South Carolina killed in the line of duty June 18, 2007.

A memorial fund has been established for the families of the fallen Charleston firefighters. Those wishing to contribute should make checks payable to the "City of Charleston Fireman's Fund", and drop them off at any Bank of America location in the United States.
