5 YEAR PERFORMANCE GOALS - 1995-2000

  1. Batesburg-Leesville Middle School (BLMS) students will demonstrate competency in the basic literacy skills and the person skills that will provide them with a strong foundation for planning further education or training.
  2. Our students will demonstrate competency in the use of information retrieval systems.
  3. The students at BLMS will demonstrate respect for their teachers, classmates, school property and themselves, thereby creating a school community which is conducive for learning.
  4. Our students will participate in a social or work activity which will enable them to work cooperatively and utilize effective effective communication skills.
  5. The students at BLMS will demonstrate that they can acquire, organize, communicate, interpret and evaluate information.
  6. The students in BLMS will increase their achievement levels as demonstrated on performance-based and district-defined assessment instruments as compared to the achievement levels of students during SY 95-96.
  7. Parents will become more actively involved in the education process to insure student success.
