To stop the bleeding:

• Sit the person upright and tilt his head forward.
• Apply pressure to the bridge of the nose with your thumb and forefinger.
• Check to see if the bleeding stopped after 10 minutes.
• If the nose is still bleeding after 20 minutes of pressure, call the doctor.
