Located off I-85 at Exit 13 on Highway 29/74, Crowders features 15 miles of hiking trails. Driving time is approximately 2 hours.
Fort Jackson Passage of the Palmetto Trail

Follow Traffic loop from Gate 1 of Fort Jackson. Veer right on Marion Avenue. Turn right on Semmes Road. Follow Semmes past the golf course and look for pull out on the left side. Driving time is 15 minutes. This is a 20 mile single-track trail that mostly runs parallel to Leesburg Road. Challenging terrain.
Jones Gap State Park

Jones Gap State Park is 25 miles north of Greenville on S.C. 276. It contains 52 miles of hiking trails. Driving time is approximately 2 hours.
Lynch's Woods Park

Take 1-26 West to Spartanburg. Exit at U.S. 76 and follow that until the 76 bypass meets S.C. 34 behind Piedmont Technical College. Driving time is about 50 minutes. Contains hiking trails as well as biking trails.
Saluda Shoals Park

Park entrance is located on Old Bush River Road between the Carolina Wildlife Care building and Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Driving time is 20 minutes. Will soon contain hiking trails and canoe access to the Saluda River. Is only 10 percent open currently but more will completed soon. Fee to enter.
