TEACHER LISTSERVE = TEACH-SC@VM.SC.EDU

A listserve is an email address used to communicate with a certain group of people. For instances, many Universities have listserves set up by classes. When you start a class you subscribe to the listserve and are able to communicate with all other members in the class by sending one message. This listserve will be available to teachers in South Carolina.

To subscribe:
1. Send an Email message to listserve@vm.sc.edu
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. The message should read: SUBSCRIBE TEACH-SC FIRSTNAME LASTNAME
4. Hit send
Shortly after submitting your subscription request, you will receive a confirmation message. If you do not, you did something wrong. Follow steps 1-4 again.

Once you receive your subscription confirmation, do the following:
1. Send an Email message to listserve@vm.sc.edu
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. The message should read: SET TEACH-SC DIGEST
4. Hit send
This will send all the messages to you, at one time, at the end of each day.

Any lesson ideas, questions, or comments you have for other teachers you can put on the list. It is like sending email to all teachers who are subscribed at once.

To send email messages to the list follow these directions:
1. The address for teachers is: TEACH-SC@VM.SC.EDU
2. Put this in your address book
3. The message you send will be distributed to the e-mail boxes of all subscribes.
** This is the address you send messages to (TEACH-SC@VM.SC.EDU), the other address is just to set up your account.
This is a great way to increase our knowledge as teachers and to share our great teaching ideas.ENJOY!!!
