Central Midlands Council of Government
- www.cmcog.state.sc.us, a 14-member body of municipalities and counties whose purpose is to provide a forum for business and government leaders to work together for the good of the region. One of 10 COGs in the state, the Central Midlands COG (CMCOG) serves Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, and Newberry counties. CMCOG provides demographic data about the region as well as reports, publications, and maps. Offerings including the business review and investment guide, building permit study, multi-family rental and condominium survey, water quality management plan, and the region report. CMCOG works with local jurisdictions in several areas including aging, economic development, environmental planning, GIS, governmental services, housing, land use planning, research and statistics, Internet services, and transportation planning.
