My Signature Is Up There!


Thanks Lockheed Martin!  


About 6 months ago, Lockheed Martin found McCants Elementary School through our WEB page. They invited us to participate in SPACEDAY. All of the students at McCants signed a poster on SPACEDAY and sent it to Lockheed Martin. This signed poster was launched into space onboard the space shuttle ATLANTIS on September 25, 1997. That's why we say -

My Signature Is Up There!


Lockheed Martin again contacted us in August and invited us to attend the launch in Florida. Thirty students and seven teachers were the guests of Lockheed Martin at the Space Center to see in person the above spectacular launch. We were in Florida for two days during which we toured the Space Center and Epcot prior to the launch.


The poster will be returned to earth and to McCants. It will be placed in a place of honor on a Wall in the School Library. Since this poster will be above the heads of these students, they will always be able to say -

My Signature Is Up There!
