The Columbia Philatelic Society is the Columbia area stamp collector's club. Stamp collectors gather twice monthly to discuss stamps, trade, and sell. Each meeting features the popular, informal club auction. The CPS sponsors an annual stamp show, with stamp dealers coming to Columbia from around the Southeast.
The club meets the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of each month (except November and December--second Tuesday only). The meetings are held in the comfortable training room of the State Newspaper building at 1401 Shop Road (near Williams-Brice Stadium) in Columbia. The time is 7:30 p.m. Meetings end around 9:00 p.m. Casual dress. Friendly company!
Make plans now to attend our next stamp show, January 22-23, 2000, at the Woodhill Mall on Garner's Ferry Rd. in Columbia! Times of the show will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
