BACKGROUND

The Pilot Club, established in 1921, was initiated began by a group ladies in Macon, Georgia. Their primary goal was to give back to their community. The service focus is to improve the quality of life and assist people with brain-related disorders and disabilities. Today, the Pilot Club has become known an International organization throughout the United States as well as Bermuda, Canada, Virginia Islands, Japan, and various communities throughout the world. The Pilot Club of Columbia is a part of 20 organized districts in the United States and one of sixty-one Pilot Club organizations throughout South Carolina.

MISSION

The purpose of this organization is to serve members of our community with brain related disorders, which are either a result of head traumas or genetic disorders. No one is refused service, as it is a need-based organization, which is supported by fundraisers. Also, The Pilot Club supports the largest funded in the United States, which encumbers approximately 1,000 clients. For information regarding Lifeline health service (click here). The Pilot Club Foundation offers need-based scholarships and works in conjunction with high school Anchor Clubs.
