Columbia Rivers

Many towns are lucky enough to have a river near by or within driving range. The Columbia, SC area has three awesome rivers running right through it. They power the city and surrounding towns, they provide a place for sport and recreation, for leisure and natural appreciation. But these natural resources are for the most part untapped. It seems that Columbia just hasn't been able to agree on what to do with the rivers that grace its proximity. Many issues have stalled the development and balancing conservation of the river front areas in and around Columbia, but with the formation of the River Alliance; renewed commitment of the SC Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism; and growing public interest, the path may soon be paved towards making Columbia a true river town.

This collection of World Wide Web pages is meant to be a source and a guide to information about Columbia rivers and river life.
