South Carolina Advocates for Women on Boards and
Commissions
Our mission is to increase the number of women appointed/elected to
judgeships, public boards and commissions at state and local levels, and as
heads of state government departments. We aim to implement this by:
- Promoting the appointment/election of women by the Governor, members of
the General Assembly, and by local government officials.
- Raising the consciousness of women across the state to the opportunities
to serve and how to seek appointment or election.
