South Carolina Advocates for Women on Boards and Commissions

Our mission is to increase the number of women appointed/elected to judgeships, public boards and commissions at state and local levels, and as heads of state government departments. We aim to implement this by:
  1. Promoting the appointment/election of women by the Governor, members of the General Assembly, and by local government officials.
  2. Raising the consciousness of women across the state to the opportunities to serve and how to seek appointment or election.
