Mission
The Skyland Neighborhood Association was started in
1970's when a real estate developer attempted to get an area of the neighborhood
rezoned from residential to commercial. After that effort of coming together
and succeeding in preventing the rezoning, the neighbors found other common
concerns. The main concerns are
-
Zoning and Development
-
Transportation and Street Improvements
-
Community Beautification and Environment
-
Water and Sewer Improvements
-
Public Safety and Crime Prevention
